Debbie Dawson, Your Hometown Realtor
Debbie grew up in Connecticut before coming to Florida where she earned her degree in Teaching. Believing knowledge is key, she uses her background in education in every aspect of her life. What she does not know, she will find out, which is very useful in the ever-changing world of real estate.
Debbie comes from a large English family, some of whom have since moved here too, and has a large family of her own with four children and five grandchildren. Her greatest pleasure is being able to spend time with them all and cook up their favorite meal of chicken cutlets (her own secret recipe.) Loving to entertain, a main reason for buying here in the Woodlands of Longleaf, gatherings at the Dawson home are full of life, laughter, and love.
Being an advocate for pets, Debbie co-organized the original Trinity Yappy Hour to help shelters and bring awareness to the many animals that still need forever homes. She has a huge heart and would rescue them all if she could. She can be seen walking her own fur babies, Joey, a sweet little Bichon Frise and Zoey, a lovable English Bull Dog, but don’t tell him he is a dog. Be sure to say “Hello” and give them a scratch behind the ear.
Supporting Local organizations and businesses is a passion of Debbie’s. She believes in giving back whenever you can, however you can. With a fellow realtor, Debbie runs the local chapter of West Pasco Cash Mob. Once a month, supporters get together and shop at one local business and then dine at one local restaurant. You would be surprised at what a boost this event can give a small business, and it is a lot of fun too.
With a background in sales & management and publications & marketing, Debbie’s career as a Realtor• has always been more about using her background to help people through the daunting navigation of the real estate process then the sale itself. She says, “Buying and selling a house is the most personal and stressful thing we do in this life, and she is blessed to be able to help”
Another way she gives back is by being a RE/MAX agent. Since 1992, RE/MAX agents have helped Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® support millions of kids each year who are treated at member hospitals throughout North America. She elected to participate in the charitable contribution program and a portion of her earnings from every home sale is donated to the Children’s Miracle Network. The donations stay local, which means she is helping kids right here in our neighborhood to receive the best care possible.
In her 25th year of real estate, Debbie has seen many unusual issues with real estate transactions. Very few real estate transactions are simple, it is the job of the agent to make it feel that way. A great agent foresees issues that could delay a closing and works behind the scenes to resolve them in advance. Debbie has seen, more times than she can count, when an agent either does not have the experience or the commitment to be proactive. That’s when you need an agent that takes your sale personally and will do whatever it takes to represent your side of the transaction.
Debbie’s favorite saying from her publication days is “Everyone has a story”. That is just as true when it comes to real estate transactions. Every sale is unique to that person’s story and Debbie will be quick to add that every transaction is unique too. There is no greater reward then seeing the smiling faces of her clients at the closing table, knowing she was part of their story.
Debbie’s clients become extended family and she is always there to help them in their next chapter. Most of her business is from the many referrals from past buyers and sellers but she is happy to take on new clients and lend her expertise to their story.
Debbie is an award-winning realtor in RE/MAX 100% Club, receiving recognition from several real estate agencies ranging from Top in Customer Satisfaction to Best in Marketing and Top Sales.
If you know anyone that could benefit from the personal touch and in-depth knowledge of an agent that cares, Debbie Dawson is the REALTOR® for them.
